Earlene has prepared a new and complete
roster of club members and will be emailing
those in next day or two.
Eileen still has
tickets for the “Elvis On Tour” movie to be
shown 7/29 at The Ameristar
for $12.50.
Bobby Simkins will have a show at Lexington,
Missouri, on Friday, 8/20, and will be the
Grand Marshal of their
festival parade on Saturday, 8/21.
On 10/22-23 the Images of the King
Contest in Branson will be held in the Joseph Hall
(Owens Theatre)
building and Bev Faitz is going to see about renting a bus for those
interested.
There will not be a regular meeting in August, instead we will
have a social at Eileen’s house
on Saturday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m.,
directions: I-70 East to Oak Grove exit, go through
town to 21st
Street, turn left and go to the second street which is Harding, turn
right
to her house at 2201.
Our special guest was John White who
was in the Army with Elvis and was in the movie
“G.I. BLUES”. They sailed
to Germany on the USS Randall. He showed us a card that
Elvis had signed
for him. Very interesting talk.
