Nestled in the middle of the bright city lights of Las Vegas stands a huge gold record. Across the bottom of the record the words, ELVIS-A-RAMA. If you're looking for Elvis, you've come to the right place, as the sign calls you inside the building.

It was only five short months ago that Chris Davidson, known as the "King of Elvis Memorabilia," turned his 2,000-item hobby into a fantastic 3.5 million dollar display. He's said to be the single largest private collector of Elvis material in the entire world. It's easy to see why his Elvis-A-Rama Museum has already been voted the best museum in Las Vegas.

His collection has been seen on CNN and VH-1. It's been featured in the Los Angeles Times and in Forbes magazine. Now you can see it up-close-and-personal, near the famous Las Vegas Strip.

This black limo is just one of the many highlights in the museum. It's a magnificent 8-passenger 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood tour limo. Hard to believe now, but it was used for a time to store guitars and drums between tour stops.

A self-guided tour, you can stay as long as you want, and browse till your hearts content. Display after display of Elvis items greet you along the way. You'll find, stage-worn jumpsuits, guitars, cars. Pictured here is one of the pianos owned by Elvis.

The tour begins with a spectacular 80-foot-long mural entitled "Elvis-A-Rama." Obtained from Elvis' long-time friend, Jimmy Velvet, this magnificent mural features a signature board. It contains thousands of personal notes to Elvis, many of them from famous celebrities.

The music wall is a definite hit, as you walk past every commercially released 45, EP and LP ever recorded by Elvis.

This showcase full of oldies is an especially fascinating one. Anyone that was a teenager in the '50s will automatically look at it and wonder what ever happen to all their Elvis stuff. In the 1950s, items could be purchased almost anywhere. Scarves with Elvis' picture on them, billfolds, charm bracelets, notebooks and on and on. Yes, if you were a teenager in the 1950s you probably owned most of these items at one time and somehow managed to let them slip through our fingers.

This autographed pair of blue suede shoes is undeniably among the favorites. Another is Elvis' 1962 Glastron powerboat with pictures of him driving in the background.

There are numerous showcases containing his Army fatigues, personal clothing, papers, and jewelry. They're all conveniently dated and identified.

This is just one of many displays showcasing the highlights of Elvis' career. This one contains his gold lame’ suit among the memory filled items.

Like most of the showcases, this one contains a video screen to enjoy your favorite Elvis performances, as you browse

This showcase is full of clothes and photographs taken during his numerous movie adventures. Included in this one is the suit worn in Clambake. What a great, fun movie that was. It's really a remarkable feeling to stand and look at the actual clothing he wore during the filming of some of our favorite movies.

Included in the price of admission are complimentary stage shows by Sony Boline. Sonny sings all your favorite Elvis songs at 12:00 am. 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily except Mondays.

Look for Sonny in the new Elvis Tribute Artist documentary by Blue Suede Films, Almost Elvis.

After browsing the museum you'll want to browse the gift shop. A fun, friendly atmosphere awaits you. The gift shop is full of "Everything Elvis" you can imagine. A large selection of videos, Cds, can be found as well as a few of Elvis' personal items. Lots of goodies to add to your collection.

Elvis-A-Rama is located one block off The Las Vegas Strip at 3401 Industrial, right behind Treasure Island. Open 10-6 (dark Monday) 702-309-7200
