We all loved it, as the sweet voice of Kathy Westmoreland, soared to unimaginable heights, in songs like "Bridge over Troubled Water", "Something", and "The Hawaiian Wedding Song," at Elvis concerts and recordings throughout the 70s.

We caught glimpses of her in Elvis concerts, as she stood beside the Sweet Inspirations, and was introduced to his audiences as "the little girl with the beautiful high voice."

You might have even been one of the lucky ones that attended one of the many concerts where he called Kathy to the front and ask her to perform "Heavenly Father," the song he loved hearing her sing so much, he requested she sing it at his funeral, which sadly, she was called upon to do in 1977.

Up until now, all we really knew about Kathy, was that she sang back-up with well over 100 big stars of that era, and toured with the Metropolitan Opera when she was only 17-years-old.
